The DMCV SHARKS is a non-profit, volunteer organization that has been serving the community since it’s inception in 1970. The Sharks league offers recreational programs, competitive programs and camps for players of all abilities. The DMCV Sharks is one of the largest soccer leagues in the country and delivers a quality soccer experience to thousands of kids each year, from ages five to nineteen. We are designated by Nike as an official Nike Premier Club.
Based in suburban Carmel Valley area the club regularly contends for championships in state and regional soccer tournaments in all age groups. The hallmark of all DMCV Sharks teams is superb individual skills. Development of the individual player is emphasized over team success. However, winning is a natural consequence of maximizing each individual player’s potential. Players are given equal playing time in league games and are encouraged to pursue their highest individual goals.
The DMCV Sharks operates under Cal-South, which is the parent organization responsible for such matters as uniformity of rules and registration, player insurance, etc.
The DMCV Sharks is directed by Olympic Gold Medal, World Cup Champion and US Soccer Hall of Famer Shannon Mac Millan.
Our goal is to provide the opportunity for each of our players to train and play soccer in an environment where they can develop both individually and as a part of a team. By providing a supportive yet challenging environment, we hope that all players will reach their full potential and play at the highest level possible for their ability.
