Erin Misaki begins her fourth season with the Sharks after two years as the Director of Coaching for Saddleback United, where she worked closely with former US National Team star, Joy Fawcett. Prior to that, Erin worked with Velocity Sports in Santa Clarita from 2008 to 2009 where she taught soccer specific speed, agility and strength classes. Erin has been a youth coach since 2000 and she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Sharks.
As a player, Erin played for the U14, U16, U18 and U21 youth national teams. She played her college soccer at the University of Portland where she was the captain of the first National Championship team for the University. After Portland, Erin was drafted into the WUSA where she played professionally for the Philadelphia Charge. Erin then went on to play professionally in Japan with the Tokyo Verdi Team.
Erin graduated from the University of Portland in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree of Art and Social Sciences. She also received an Interdisciplinary Degree, three disciplines combined into one: Sociology, Psychology and Education.
