Kelly worked in the legal profession for 30 years with the last 8 of those as the Legal Office Administrator for a small law firm in La Jolla. In about 1998, she had a co-worker ask her to help coach a local Special Olympics basketball team. Having always played but never having coached before, she was a bit nervous pulling up to the gym the first day but from that first moment she stepped onto the court, she realized coaching was the most natural feeling in the world to her. From that day forward coaching has become a constant in her life and in 2001 she moved into coaching competitive soccer at a local club in San Diego. Fast forward 15 years later when the opportunity arose to become the DMCV Sharks’ Registrar while also coaching a competitive girls’ team for the Club, she jumped at the chance to finally combine her passion for soccer and her love of coaching into her full-time profession! This past June, Kelly was promoted to Director of Administration for the Club while also currently coaching a Sharks G2008 team of superstars!
