ABOUT DMCV SHARKSRECREATIONAL PROGRAMS

The DMCV Sharks Recreational program is one of the largest in the country, serving thousands of participants in the Del Mar/Carmel Valley area.  The DMCV Sharks Rec program is for everyone regardless of skill set.  The Recreational Program consists of a Fall, Winter, and Spring leagues for area youth ranging from under six years old to under nineteen years old.  We also conduct a wide variety of camps and clinics throughout the year to help players to have fun and further develop their skills.

SPONSOR A TEAM

Registration fees do not completely cover the costs of running the Rec soccer league, so sponsors are needed to help cover the additional costs to run the league. Team sponsorship is $350.00. Please let your coach know that you are interested in sponsoring the team.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER COACH

Every year we need more coaches, assistants, and team parents. The league depends on parents to fill all these positions, and we are always looking to add to our roster of coaches, at all levels of experience. If you would like to volunteer as a coach or assistant coach, or if you know someone who is interested in making a difference in a young soccer player’s life, please contact Davor Gazivoda, Director of Recreational Programs. No experience is necessary, we will train you!

You can also register online as a volunteer at the same time you register your child and let us know which position you would like. Our Head and Assistant Coaches will be involved in the Fall’s Season draft (team selection process). We will only form teams for the number of coaches we have. All other players will be placed on a wait-list until another coach volunteers.

The requirements for coaching are set by US Club Soccer. All Head coaches must go through the Risk Management  process which is paid for by the club. You will also be asked to attend a coaches meetings in May and August.

For detailed information, contact Davor Gazivoda, Director of Recreational Programs.
