The Sharks College Program offers mentorship and visibility to be identified and recruited into College Soccer Programs in all Divisions. All DMCV Sharks Club team members may participate to help realize future growth opportunities; however, the key program focus is as a college soccer recruiting enabler for Elite Team members.

By partnering with College Fit Finder, we offer our players one of the best tools available to help guide them through their college process.

Within the Sharks organization, players are educated and mentored about the recruiting process, whereas outside the organization, the program emphasizes building relationships, demonstrating player potential, and maintaining clear dialogue with college coaches and staff.

The program is not about “hand-holding” a player into recruiting, but about providing the knowledge, tools, and clear understanding of the various college soccer opportunities that may best fit both the motivated player while also communicating consistent, authoritative recommendations to the college coach seeking specific future team capabilities.

The DMCV Sharks Elite and College Programs are directed by Kelly Wherry.

Playing for the Sharks was simply amazing. I shared a jersey representing a club with the people that I will forever cherish. The memories I made with that team are irreplaceable and unbelievable. Stepping away from club soccer and entering into a college career has really illuminated the uniqueness of playing competitive soccer, sharing the field with girls from different schools and sharing experiences on and off the pitch. We all grew together into the soccer players and people we have become. The Sharks were so much more than just a soccer team, we were and still are family.

Being on the Sharks is being like a part of a family, it’s like I have 25 other sisters who always have my back both on and off the field. It’s a camaraderie that is indescribable, you are so close and you look out for one another whether it be bringing someone a water or driving 50 min to pick someone up it’s the little things that made it so special. The sharks will always be my team.

Our goal is to provide the opportunity for each of our players to train and play soccer in an environment where they can develop both individually and as a part of a team.

By providing a supportive yet challenging environment, we hope that all players will reach their full potential and play at the highest level possible for their ability.
