Recreational Programs

DMCV Sharks soccer was established in 1970, and is a community based program that is devoted to teaching and nurturing the development of youth players. It is our mission to offer opportunities for players of all skill levels and experience, and to provide a positive learning environment where players can develop their technical skills and build a passion for the game. We offer all of our players the opportunity for growth and advancement in the sport, because we want each player to reach their highest potential

SPONSOR A TEAM

Registration fees do not completely cover the costs of running the Rec soccer league, so sponsors are needed to help cover the additional costs to run the league. Team sponsorship is $350.00. Please let your coach know that you are interested in sponsoring the team.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER COACH

Every year we need more coaches, assistants and team parents. The league depends on parents to fill all these positions, and we are always looking to add to our roster of coaches, at all levels of experience. If you would like to volunteer as a coach or assistant coach, or if you know someone who is interested in making a difference in a young soccer player’s life, please contact Erin Misaki, Director of Recreational Programs. No experience is necessary, we will train you!

You can also register online as a volunteer at the same time you register your child and let us know which position you would like. For Head and Assistant Coaches, our Division Coordinators will be your source of information. We will only form teams for the number of coaches we have. All other players will be placed on a wait-list until another coach volunteers.

The requirements for coaching are set by our parent organization, Cal South. All Head and Assistant coaches must go through Risk Management (fingerprinting) that is paid for by the league. In addition, coaches are now required to have a coaching license and we offer a minimum or two license classes per season. You will also be asked to attend a coaches meeting in August. For detailed information, contact Erin Misaki, Director of Recreational Programs.
